Happy Thanksgiving

This Thanksgiving I am thankful for so many things.  They are things which are precious to me and close to my heart.  They are things which, if I were to state my list in front of my family and friends, would make me a little bit misty eyed.

I am so grateful and feel so blessed.  Christ has blessed me so much in this life, and I feel so grateful.  What I am most thankful for is my salvation.  It was a gift from God which will not be taken away from me.  It is not of my doing.  It is all Christ.  Here is a list of some of the things I am most thankful for.

I know I love doing kind things and giving gifts to my kids.  I love to see their expression of joy or excitement.  Matthew 7:9-12 talks about as parents we desire to give good gifts to our children, and then in Matthew 7:11b (ESV) it says, “…how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those that ask him!”  Psalm 23:5 (ESV) says, “You (God) prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil, my cup overflows.”

How gracious is the Lord?  I was His enemy.  A sinner, but yet He chooses to honor me, to overflow my cup, and give me good gifts!  If that doesn’t blow your mind this Thanksgiving, I don’t know what will.

I wish each one of you a wonderful Thanksgiving filled with blessings spent with the people you love and safe travels.  Happy Thanksgiving!
